Who We Serve

We can help:

-  If you are feeling anxious, hopeless, depressed, stuck or confused

-  If your life is in transition or you are trying to make a major life decision

-  If you have a physical health problem that is affecting your mental health, or if you have symptoms that you and your doctor have not been able to connect to a physical health problem

-  If you have alcohol and/or drug concerns along with a mental health issue

-  If you have a difficult family or personal relationship

-  If you are struggling to do well at work or school or socially

-  If you have a child/children or parent who is/are causing you concern

-  If you just want a mental health check-up

How We Serve

We start your treatment with a full diagnostic assessment that looks at all facets of your past and present situation.  Then if you wish we work together with you to develop an individualized service plan that contains specific treatment goals and objectives.  All future individual and/or group sessions with you are then focused upon helping you attain your goals.  Treatment can be a short (i.e. three to twelve sessions, etc) or a long (i.e. spanning months or even years, etc.) process, depending upon the nature of your situation and how ready and willing you are to work.  For many conditions a combination of psychotherapy ("talk therapy") and psychiatric care and medication is most effective.  For people with severe and persistent mental illness, case management can be a vital part of the service mix as well.

What You Can Do

If you think you could benefit from a diagnostic assessment, all you need to do is call us and request an intake appointment.  A licensed social worker or counselor, trained at the Master's level, will complete the assessment and discuss the results with you.  If treatment is indicated and you want treatment at this point in time, subsequent sessions will be scheduled with the therapist, who can also refer you to one of our psychiatrists or case managers, or to a therapy group, or to one of our specialized programs (see Program Descriptions section of web site).   Treatment is voluntary; [1]  you determine what you want to work on and your current readiness for change.  We provide skilled, experienced clinicians who will guide and assist you along your recovery journey.  Treatment works!  Please call if we can help.

[1] Under certain, very limited circumstances we are required by law to intervene.  These circumstances are explained to you in advance
